Pressies from the West, but Not from as FAR West as Before!

Sometimes, we get emails from dogs that never comment on the blog. Dogs who do not have blogs of their own but who read our blog and enjoy it.

During the Great Pressie Exchange of 2007 we received an email from two really beautiful newfie girls named Maya and Chloe, out in Missouri. They confessed to having a crush on me, (who could blame them?), and asked if they could also take part in the exchange too - even though they didn't have a blog of their own.

Speaking of which, Maya and Chloe's Mama, WHAT IS THE DEAL? Your two girls deserve fame and fortune and having their photographs ogled online by strange dogs! See what you can do, okay?

Anyway, of course I said YES, I mean, it doesn't do to turn away attractive females of one's own breed. And then they sent me a pressie! It was an incredibly wonderful pressie, and I regret only that it has taken me so long to publicly thank them for it - I had to wait until all the videos were uploaded. My mama takes an unconscionably long time to do things like that. Note that I am a dog who uses words like unconscionably. Be impressed.

Right. So the picture at the top of the post is Pooka taking MY warthog pressie down to chinatown. He rocked that warthog's world! He was being so hardcore that the picture came out all blurry, and mama had to label the various parts in it so people could tell what the heck was going on. And now, on to the videos!


As you can see, although I am the engineer in charge of First Pressie Contact, Pooka is definitely a go-getter. That is to say, he Goes and Gets the pressie. Please forgive my mama's constant narration. The woman cannot control her need to narrate. So the two lovely ladies sent us warthog stuffies! After some confusion about which warthog belonged to which newf, we settled down with them. Pooka likes to hold his little warthog between his paws and pull the fuzz off the top of the little warthog's head. But that was not all they sent us! There was ALSO a letter...and LOOK!


Holy dog they drew a picture of me! The first fan art I have received! How awesome is this? My mama is going to have it framed, and then I will have my own wall with my certificates from the Frog test and my CGC certificate, and my fan art! Isn't it beautiful?

But that wasn't even all! They ALSO sent us the Merrick Porky Jerky Pumpers which we reviewed last week and which were DELICIOUS...AND they sent us these fabulous crackers in the shape of ducks! They've obviously read our blog and know all about my fascination with Quackers! Incidentally if you click on the word "fascination" or "quackers" in that last sentence you too can learn all about my long quacker history. It is unfortunate that my mama felt the need to repeat, ad nauseam: "Pooka wanna quacker?" when giving us these cookies. I mean, REALLY.


Ha ha! Look at Pooka totally faking Papa out on the settle. He's all, "this is far enough, right? Right? Look, I'm totally almost lying down!" He is such a cheater. (Mama's Note: Honest, he is much better than this with his obedience work. I think the excitement of the pressie scrambled his wee puppy brains.)
