This Newf Reviews: Grandma Lucy's Organics

Sorry! We really meant to post this forever ago but we're having compliance issues with Safari and Blogspot. Every time we tried to update this post safari self-destructed! Very strange...

Anyway, we recently had the opportunity to taste-test a new (to us, anyway) treat and we love them! And by we, get this, I'm talkin' about me, Pooka, mama AND papa! We all tried them!

Mmmmmm!

Okay so here's what you need to know...in this episode of This Newf Reviews...

THIS NEWF REVIEWS: GRANDMA LUCY'S ORGANICS

As you can see from the picture, the ingredients are USDA organic - and human grade. Mama and Papa tried them after reading the ingredients and deciding that none of them were sketchy in any way. They say these taste like Teddy Grahams, which is funny because that's exactly what they look like! They're little teddy bears.

Company Standards: We love the story about this company - they were regular dog parents when their dog developed allergies. They started researching the food and treats they were giving their pup and were kind of horrified by what they discovered - so they decided to make food and treats themselves. Their company is owned and run by their family.

Size and Portability: The treats come in a resealable bag which is handy - the teddy bears are about the size of your average teddy graham cookie. Maybe a little bigger than a quarter.

Drool-o-Meter Rating: These are Simultaneous Ropes to the Floor! We love them. Even our parents think they are super-delicious and when they think we are not looking they nibble them! Which is totally not fair!

*Newfy Drool-o-Meter Key:

Dry Mouth: Zero interest or appreciation for the item in question - not worth drooling over.
Minicicles: Just the tiniest hint of a droolcicle starting at either corner of the mouth. Drool worthy? Barely.
One-Slinger: The treat is good - good enough to get the juices flowing but not so good that I would offer it as an aperitif on a first date with Sunshade.
Two-Slinger: Now we're talking! The drool is even, it's sling-able, and it has been earned.
Simultaneous-Ropes-to-the-Floor: The highest honor I, or any newf, can offer a treat or toy. So delicious and delightful that the drool flows like water.

Oh, we will have to check these out. My humans have sampled my organic Itty Bitty Buddy Biscuits, which make great training treats too. They said they taste like All-Bran or unsalted Triscuits (even though mostly they are wheat-free).

By the way, Mommy's been having trouble lately with Safari and Blogspot too. It's been really hard to post pictures, especially.

Hey, guys!

Thanks for the review. I'm laughing that your parents are eating your treats. My girl sometimes says that certain treats of ours smell good enough to eat, but found they're a little bland tastin for her.

hehehe

Goober love,
Stanley

Our dad eats our treats all the time - like his dinner, chocolate, any meat in the house, the list goes on and on. We picky newfs will have to try the I love Lucy Treats.

Dad ditched Safari ages ago. It always messed up posts and then crashed his computer - BSOD and EVERYTHING!

Have fun and get ready for more nice newfy weather in the teens and SNOW!!

I am not the only one who feeds Grandma Lucy's Organics to large dogs. I have two Champion Greyhounds, one is the size of a dane. They love the treats, I just can't get enough to keep them happy. I'd love it if they came in a larger size. Thanks for putting out such a wonderful product. Pegasus Greyhounds

Boomer, our 12-week old Grey Newf, just read your blog, and had me order some treats...the credit card company wouldn't issue him his own card, so he had to beg me to do it for him. We'll let you know how he likes them when they arrive. Have a happy day...Boomer's mommy.
