We are only a week away from leaving for Ontario, to participate in all the awesome fund-raising activities benefiting Newf Friends Rescue, at Newf Stock! And we're crazy excited!But this is just a quick post to tell you guys that we will be marching in the Newf Rescue Parade to raise much-needed funds for Newf Friends' rescue operation, and to ask for your support in our march.
When you offer your pledge you will see that the beneficiary is HART - Newf Friends is a breed-specific affiliate of HART, and accepts donations through that larger organization - but rest assured that all funds collected are being earmarked specifically for Newf Friends! Three different Newf Friends volunteers see every pledge made online, so there's no way your pledge can go awry.
Pledges will go toward ensuring that Newf Friends can continue to rescue, rehabilitate and find new and loving homes for dogs like Anna, (who is still waiting for someone to say that she's finally found her forever home.) The current economy is murdering rescue organizations left and right, because the need for them is growing exponentially as folks have less and less disposable cash, and so dump dogs on shelters or just leave them locked up in buildings or wandering on the side of the road. Concurrently, donations drop and volunteers have fewer resources to work with. So if you can, please pledge. Every penny will help.

It totally is Nanook! Of course, that's him at a full stretch, but he IS looking much more stream-lined of late.
