I can't help but notice that the Mama has been kind of packing on the pounds lately. I don't want to be rude, but I mean...she's really beefing out. AND she's eating all the freaking time! Whatever she wants!!!
I ask you. Is this fair? Is this right?
So I did the only thing a Newf can do, under these circumstances. I dropped a subtle hint that I thought maybe she ought to consider easing back on the old feedbag...

I've been reading nanook and pooka's blog for awhile and recently started reading your blog after clicking a link from the dog's blog. Wanted to you congratulate on your wonderful baby news. We have a newfie named Bob, and we also have a baby on board 'bob'. We are having our first baby, a boy in about four weeks!!! :) It's been fun reading your baby blogs as I can totally relate. Awwww, Hang in there Nanook. The Mama will be dropping weight soon enough. She will probably shed most of it in one fail swoop. But our guess is that she still feels your pain of trying to maintain a svelte figure. Right now, our mama has one of us on a "diet regime" - Marian. *sigh* Marian has developed some arthritis problems and so is on prednisone right now. This has caused her to gain weight, so the mama cut her food portion back a bit. So far, she isn't gaining any more, but not sure that she has lost very much. She needs to lose about 11pounds total.
Glad to hear that you are maintaining your weight.

Hey Nook & Pook! Wow, looks like your mom is expecting! I bet it's gonna be a boy. Boys are messy eaters so no doubt the little fella will be dropping lots of delicious foodies on the floor for you to eat. Heehee!
